Exciting news! We are partnering with Books Are Fun and their Book Blast program to help build our students' home libraries. For over 30 years, Books Are Fun has been a trusted partner in promoting literacy.
Today, our students learned about the Book Blast Program and the importance of having their own books at home. Tonight, we are asking you to take 7 minutes to support our Student Home Library initiative.

The end of the marking period is this week. Please check for any missing library books and send them back to school! Each class has a chance to win a prize or a party if they return all of their books!
Happy St. Patrick's Day at Charlotte Lappla! Students worked in teams to create leprechaun traps and set them up in hopes to catch the leprechaun. He made a mess... but came to school and told us a wonderful story instead- which the entire school loved ! Better luck next year!
We were so lucky to have students from the FFA program at the high school spend the morning at Charlotte Lappla teaching our students! The students did fun, engaging activities and the event even made it on Wellsboro Homepage.
Kindergarten Registration is off to a great start! We are so excited to see the new kindergarten students in August!

Changes to Transportation Letter
Reminder! The book fair and book fair dress up days will start this Friday!

Two Committee Meetings will be held tomorrow evening. The building and grounds meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m.. and the personnel committee meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. There will be no policy or curriculum meeting.
Update to Board Committee Meeting Schedule
The Wellsboro Area School District Board of Education amended the committee meeting calendar that was previously posted. The Building and Grounds Committee Meeting and the Policy Committee Meeting will be held on the same evening as the Curriculum Committee Meeting and Personnel Committee Meeting. All meetings will be held on the final Tuesday of the month utilizing the time schedule below:
Building and Grounds Committee: 5:30 p.m.
Policy Committee: 6:00 p.m.
Curriculum Committee: 6:30 p.m.
Personnel Committee: 7:00 p.m.

Be sure to also update your app for a cleaner, simpler view!
Frozen Performance Update:
Saturday performance at 2 pm will go on as scheduled.
Saturday performance at 7pm is cancelled.
Sunday performance at 2pm will go on as scheduled.
This is a reminder there is no school on Monday, February 17th and Tuesday, February 18th due to scheduled teacher and staff in-service days. School will be in session on Friday, March 21st and Monday, March 24th to make up for the two days missed due to weather conditions.
