🎉 Congratulations to our incredible RLBMS innovators! 🎉
Yesterday, nine RLBMS students competed in the 2026 Husky Dog Pound Challenge at Bloomsburg University. With 222 middle and high school teams—the largest field in the event’s history—our students rose to the challenge in a BIG way. We’re excited to share that two of our 7th-grade teams finished in the TOP 10! 💛💚
🥈 2nd Place – “Tasty Terminator”
Congratulations to Leah Szentesy, Isobel Kennedy, and Wiley Sargent, whose edible hand sanitizer project earned them second place overall, a $750 prize, and a trophy now proudly displayed in the 6th-grade hallway! This is the highest finish RLBMS has had in five years of competing!
🏅 8th Place – “PureSip”
Kudos to Sylvia Duterte and Riley Lanphear, whose healthy, dissolvable packaged nutrient supplement for teachers on the go secured 8th place and a $250 prize!
💡 Strong Showing – “UV-EZ”
A big shoutout to our 8th-grade innovators Ryleigh Sporer, Jackson Largey, Hanna Smith, and Izabella DiAmbrosio, who impressed the judges with their UV hand sanitizer machine designed to kill germs and bacteria in schools and businesses.
We are so proud of our students’ creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit. Way to represent RLBMS! 🐝💚💛
