🏆 FIRST PLACE FINISH! 🏆
Huge congratulations to our RLBMS 7th & 8th grade students who earned 🥇 1st Place at the BLaST IU 17 Keystone Competition in Williamsport!
Competing against 54 students from seven school districts across five counties, our students were given a surprise STEM challenge the day of the competition and rose to the occasion with creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. From brainstorming to building, they showed what it means to think outside the box.
Their innovative design impressed judges and secured them a spot moving on to the STEM Design Competition in April at Lycoming College 🚀
We are so proud of our students for representing RLBMS with hard work, collaboration, and big ideas. Way to go! 💙🧠✨

Cal and Charlotte are racing through their addition facts!

Wellsboro Area School District Athletic schedule for February 9th through February 14, 2026

Students in Third Grade are wrapping up a Science investigation titled Patterns of Motion. They applied previously learned skills and vocabulary to identify the forces at work on their Tops. Throughout the investigation students experimented with different materials and changed variables to see which elements created the best design and best spin for their Tops. Each student came up with a unique design and presented them and demonstrated how they worked for their peers. Students then were able to utilize “doodle tops” to have a visual on the pattern their tops would have made on paper when they spun!

🎉Congratulations to Kayleigh on becoming the newest member of the 100 book club! Also, Jack and Addie are moving on up!! 🎉Hip hip hooray! 🎉

🏒 STEM Challenge: The Great Ozobot Hockey League! 🏒
Our 3rd-grade engineers took to the "ice" this week in the STEM Lab! Their mission? To design and build a Universal Hockey Stick attachment for our Ozobots. This challenge pushed their creativity and required them to think like real engineers. Students followed the steps of the Engineering Design Process to bring their ideas to life
The Big Lesson: Students discovered that a "one size fits all" stick doesn't always work. They had to Improve their designs to ensure they could handle the different forces acting on each puck.
