Our 6th grade scientists at RLBMS are diving into density! Students are conducting a liquid layering investigation using salt solutions to explore how differences in density cause liquids to stack in colorful layers. Hands-on experiments like these make science come alive!

Pumpkin Investigation in Mrs. Lightner's room.

Mr. Getty and Mrs. Miller took a crew of 2nd graders to visit the Green Free Library this week! We also saw Misty the pumpkin and made a wish at the fountain with Wynken, Blynken, and Nod!

Mrs. Unruh’s class is learning about weather tools. Each student made their own windsock. Then the class went outside to test the windsocks out.

Mrs. Brought’s second grade class learned “Bate, bate, chocolate!” in music class today! Bate, bate is a traditional Mexican poem (about mixing up some tasty hot chocolate!) turned catchy folk song. Students put their quarter and eighth note practice into play with Mrs. Cary’s stretchy band 🤩 Uno, dos, tres…CHO!

Writer of the week in Mrs. Lightner's class is Patrick!
