🤖 RLBMS Robotics Team Explores Archaeology & Innovation!

Our Robotics Team had an incredible field trip to the Susquehanna River Archaeology Center! 🏺🔍
A huge thank you to the staff for sharing their time and knowledge — we learned so much about archaeology, discovery, and how past innovations can inspire modern technology.

The team is excited to bring these ideas back and apply what we learned to this year’s robotics competition! 💡

Today, we had the joy of learning from local author Bob Borzok, who shared his brand-new book with our students. There’s something amazing that happens when kids meet a real author, someone who reminds them that stories don’t just come from shelves, they come from people, from hearts, from imagination, and most importantly from OUR COMMUNITY.

After listening to Bob read, our students got to dream up their own endings to his story. And let me tell you, they typed like crazy. It was the kind of quiet, electric energy teachers live for.

Watching them, I was reminded that creativity isn’t taught, it’s sparked. And today, Bob lit a few dozen little fires.

Thank you, Bob Borzok, for reminding us that everyone has a story worth telling and that sometimes, the best endings are the ones we write ourselves.

🇺🇸 Help Us Honor Our Heroes! 🇺🇸

For the past few years, our RLBMS Student Council has collected names and addresses of veterans who are near and dear to the hearts of our school community. Each one receives a personal thank-you note from our students in honor of Veterans Day. ❤️🤍💙

We need your help again this year!
If you know a veteran or active service member—a family member, friend, or neighbor—please share their name and address using the form below so we can send them a card. They don’t need to be from Wellsboro—just someone important to you!

📝 Submit your veteran(s) here:

You can submit the form multiple times, so feel free to share as many names as you’d like. Our students will begin writing cards as soon as the addresses start rolling in!

Let’s work together to show our appreciation for those who have served and continue to serve. 💚🐝 #RLBMS #VeteransDay #ThankYouVeterans #HornetPride

All students at Charlotte Lappla were able to enjoy a fall obstacle course with the help of a donation from Hillstone Farms Market. They had to jump, climb, and dance their way through bales of hay, while listening to their favorite fall music. A special thanks to all high school student council volunteers  that also helped make this fun experience possible.

Thanks to Martin’s Roadside Stand, all students at Charlotte Lappla were each able to help make  homemade apple cider with the help of Dr. Largey’s apple press. Students were taught about the parts of the press and how apple cider is made by Mrs. Smith and Mr. Cary. High school helpers then treated the students to local apple cider .

Students in Mrs.Mascho’s class used the pumpkins that were donated from Pag-Omar for the Fall Fest to do a pumpkin investigation in math and science. Students then wrote an opinion writing about if it was better to carve or paint a pumpkin before getting to actually getting to do it.
