Miss Farrer is the Supervisor of Special Education.  She is from Mansfield, PA and attended Mansfield Junior/Senior High School.  She earned her undergraduate Elementary and Special Education teaching degrees and Master’s in Education from Mansfield University.  She also earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Lock Haven University.

Dr. Jake Rogers

School Psychologist

Hello! My name is Jake Rogers. I am the school psychologist for K-6 and the District 504 Coordinator. I am originally from Jersey Shore, PA. I currently reside in Wellsboro. I enjoy running, biking, coaching, attending Penn State football games, traveling, and spending time with my family.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock University of PA in 2014 and a Master of Education degree in 2015/Post Master’s Certification in School Psychology from Indiana University of PA in 2017. I have been a school psychologist in the Wellsboro Area School District since the 2017-2018 school year. I received my K-12 principal certification from Indiana University of PA in 2020 and my Ed.D. in Leadership and Administration from Point Park University in 2022. 

What is a school psychologist?

School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students’ abilities to learn and teachers’ ability to teach.  They apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.  School psychologists partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections among home, school, and the community.
